Man nabbed for killing friend not returning Rs 5K

The police have solved the murder of Ankit Kumar who was allegedly killed by his friend Sunil Mishra. The police informed revealed that both the men used to work at the same place in SIIDCUL. During interrogation, the accused said that he ended up stabbing Ankit after an argument when the latter was unable to return Rs 5,000 he had borrowed.

CO (Sadar) Bahadur Singh Chauhan said that Ankit was stabbed fatally on the night of June 13 at Labour Chowk, SIIDCUL. The police registered a case based on a complaint by the victim’s family member and began investigation. The police were able to identify the main suspect by checking CCTV footage. The CO said that during interrogation, the accused Sunil said that he had lent Rs 5,000 to Ankit in May.

Ankit had promised to return the money after a month but was not doing so despite being asked for it repeatedly. Following a fight on the issue, Sunil stabbed Ankit and fled from the scene. The police presented the accused in court from where he was sent to jail.
