CBI arrests two employees of Cantt board for accepting 25K bribe

A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two employees of Cantonment Board, Dehradun on Thursday for allegedly seeking a bribe of Rs 25,000 in a property matter. The arrested employees have been identified as head clerk Raman Agarwal and office superintendent Shailendra Kumar of the Cantonment Board.
The CBI took action on Thursday after allegedly receiving a complaint from a local resident, Ved Gupta on Wednesday about two employees seeking a bribe of Rs 25,000 on a property matter. The official sources informed that the CBI team reached the cantonment board office in Garhi at about 1:30 PM on Thursday and caught the accused red handed in the act of accepting the bribe. The team also searched the residence of the accused and questioned them for several hours. The CBI is currently analysing the seized documents taken from the accused to further investigate the matter.
