Two persons died and one was injured in a road accident when a car plying from Pauri to Delhi fell into an 80 metre deep gorge near Parsundakhal on the Pauri – Kotdwar highway on Sunday.
A man, his twin sister and his wife were travelling in the car when the accident took place, killing the twin siblings on the spot while the wife was injured.
According to Pauri police station house officer Govind Kumar, the car met with an accident about one kilometre ahead of Parsundakhal on the Pauri-Kotdwar national highway on Sunday. Three persons travelling in the car from Pauri to Delhi were identified as Veer Singh Panwar, his sister Veera Devi and his wife Sunita Panwar.
The twin siblings who died on the spot were aged 60 years while the 58 year old Sunita Panwar sustained injuries in the mishap.
