Arya inaugurates multipurpose sports building in Doon

The Sports minister Rekha Arya along with Raipur MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’ inaugurated a multipurpose sports building at Aamwala in Dehradun on Tuesday. Arya said that the department has made the building with a budget of Rs 4.75 crore where all talented players who will be selected through the Khel Mahakumbh would get high level training in sports like badminton, judo, karate, table tennis and kabaddi.
The competition of Khel Mahakumbh at the State level will be organised from December 5 to January 25. She said that the high level training would help sportspersons from across the State to overcome obstacles and make a successful career in the same sport. She said that considering the importance of sports along with education, the State government has been paying attention to providing quality training to students apart from quality education. She said that Uttarakhand will host the 38th National Games in 2025 for which the government is making efforts to provide all the possible facilities to players to prepare them for the competition.
