Scams, unemployment, worsening law & order making people worried- Mahara

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara offered floral tributes to the martyrs of the statehood movement on the occasion of the State foundation day on Wednesday. He also participated in a seminar organised by the State unit of the party on the occasion. In the seminar discussion on the achievements of the State, its problems and future requirements were held.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahara said that it is unfortunate not even a single women leader of BJP said anything on the heinous murder of Ankita Bhandari. He said this shows that we have lost our morals and character in the last 22 years. Later talking to the media-persons, the PCC president said that the occasion of state foundation day is a time for deep retrospection. He said that the murder of Ankita Bhandari, the scams in different departments and recruitment commission and deteriorating law and order situation in the State make the people of the State apprehensive and worried. He said that the assembly session has not been organised in Gairsain for the last two years. Mahara added that the State is now under a debt burden of about Rs one lakh crore.
