Expedite work on ECRP, Ayushman Infra mission- R Rajesh Kumar

The secretary in-charge of the medical and health services R Rajesh Kumar has directed the officers of the health department to expedite the work on Emergency Covid Response Package (ECRP) and the Ayushman Bharat Health infrastructure mission. He presided over a review meeting of the ECRP and the health infrastructure mission of Ayushman Bharat on Tuesday. In the meeting, review of the progress of the under construction critical care blocks under the ECRP was done. He was informed that the departmental process for project estimate has been completed of five out of seven proposals but Detailed Project Report (DPR) is still awaited from districts in two proposals. Kumar expressed his annoyance at this and directed the work executing agency to submit the DPR to the administration at the earliest. In the meeting orders were given to install necessary ICU beds in the designated hospitals under the ECRP soon. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure mission, a block public health unit would be set up in all the blocks of the State. The unit would have laboratory and health monitoring units. The mission would be operational till the year 2026.
The health director Dr Vinita Shah, under secretary Jaswinder Kaur, programme officer ECRP Dr Abhay Kumar and others were present in the meeting.
