Trio including Patwari booked for culpable homicide of master craftsman

Patwari Dharmendra Yadav, his son and brother posted in Roorkee area have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder for beating up a master craftsman in Jwalapur Kotwali area.

According to the information received, Gulsher, a resident of Pathri, was a mason by profession. Some time ago he had entered into a contract to build Patwari Dharmendra Yadav’s house. Gulsher had completed a lot of work in the house, but the Patwari was not reportedly giving the full amount. Due to this, on November 9 Gulsher asked the Patwari to calculate the amount. There was a fight between the Patwari and Gulsher on this matter.  Yadav and his family members together beat up the master craftsman in a closed room and fled leaving him half-dead.

After some time, the labourers called Gulsher’s family members and informed them, after which the family members informed the police and sent the injured Gulsher to the hospital. The doctors at the district hospital referred Gulsher to the higher centre. Gulsher died during treatment at the higher centre.

Jwalapur police station inspector RK Saklani said that on the basis of application, a case of culpable homicide has been registered against Patwari Dharmendra Yadav, his son and brother.  Efforts are on to arrest the accused who are currently absconding.
