Centre approves more than 18K additional homes under PMAY-Gramin in Uttarakhand

The Central Government has granted approval for 18,602 additional homes for Uttarakhand under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)- Gramin. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development minister Giriraj Singh for this approval. The CM said that unprecedented development works are being undertaken in Uttarakhand under PM Modi’s guidance. The State government is making all efforts to ensure the execution of development schemes on the ground with an aim to facilitate the benefit of development till the farthest person, he said.
According to official sources, the CM had requested the Centre to allocate additional target to Uttarakhand under the PMAY-Gramin. Considering the efforts aimed at time bound achievement of targets under the scheme by the State, the Centre has now allocated an additional target of 18,602 homes under the scheme.
