SDM present at venue said notices to be issued to departments not represented in event
Most officials and members of the public were absent from the Tehsil Diwas organised here on Tuesday. The Tehsil Diwas is organised periodically to address local issues and grievances of the people at the Tehsil level. However, the event had to be cancelled this time as neither the local public nor most of the officials came to attend it.
The Tehsil Diwas was organised in the block hall on Tuesday but the only official present in it was the sub divisional magistrate Kumkum Joshi. Due to the absence of the people and officials the event had to be cancelled. After the officials failed to turn up at the meeting, the SDM inspected the departments in the town. SDM Joshi said that the local administration had informed the local public about the Tehsil Diwas through the Gram Pradhans and the media. However, due to some reasons the public representatives and local residents did not turn up for the meet due to which the event had to be cancelled. She further added that notices will be issued to the departments which were not represented in the Tehsil Diwas.
