The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has set up 413 examination centres in all districts to conduct police constable recruitment exam on Sunday where two separate videos will be shot at the entrances as a preventive measure against any attempt of cheating. Providing information regarding the exam, the chairman of the commission Rakesh Kumar said on Friday that two separate videos will be shot at the entrance gate of every examination centre to ensure no attempts are being made to pull any tricks to cheat in the exam by candidates or others.
It will be ensured that no male or female candidate enters without their valid admit cards, said Kumar. He stated that the commission has set a total of 413 examination centres where exams are scheduled to be held from 11 AM to 1 PM considering the convenience of candidates during winter season. However he advised the candidates to reach their respective centres by 9:30 AM to avoid any inconvenience before the exam. He also advised the candidates to remember to bring black or blue ball pen for the exam to mark entries as use of pencil is not permitted. He said that section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) will also remain in effect in the respective areas of the districts where exams are being held to maintain peace and order. Strict legal actions will be taken against those found to be guilty of carrying out any illegal activity in or near examination centres, added the UKPSC head.
