Encroachments being removed for beautification & tackling traffic jam in Haridwar

The Haridwar district administration is conducting anti-encroachment drives in various areas to facilitate beautification and resolve traffic jams. On Thursday, the authorities demolished encroachments in the Jwalapur area.

City magistrate Avadhesh Singh said that on the instructions of the district magistrate, an encroachment-free campaign is being conducted in Haridwar. On Thursday, encroachments were removed from Jatwada to Sarai Road in Jwalapur area. Action is also being taken to confiscate the goods of those who are not removing the encroachments voluntarily.  Along with this, if someone commits encroachment again after the encroachment is removed, action will be taken against the person.

PWD executive engineer SK Tomar said that on the instructions of the DM, action is being taken to remove any illegal encroachment on the PWD roads.
