In view of the prevailing cold wave conditions in the State, the Education department has ordered the closure of all schools in Uttarakhand till January 15. The director general of school education Banshidhar Tiwari issued the orders on Monday. In the order, he said that in view of the severe cold and foggy conditions prevailing in the State, the schools would remain closed till January 15. The order would be applicable to all government, private, and aided schools of the State. In the order, the DG has said that the closure order of the schools should be strictly enforced.
