In a gesture of solidarity with the affected people of the Joshimath land subsidence crisis, the Uttarakhand cabinet has decided that all the ministers would give one month of their salary for the relief and rehabilitation of the affected families. The amount would be deposited in the chief minister’s relief fund. The IAS officers of Uttarakhand and association of secretariat employees have also decided to give their one day’s salary for the affected families of Joshimath.
