CIMS & UIHMT offers free education for affected children of Joshimath

The city based CIMS and UIHMT group of colleges has come forward for the disaster affected families of Joshimath by announcing to provide free education to their children.
A decision to provide free higher education, vocational training and medical education to the children of affected families of Joshimath was taken in a meeting of the academic council of the institute on Monday.
The chairman of the CIMS and UHIMT group, Lalit Mohan Joshi said the people of Joshimath city are passing through a tough phase and many of them are forced to leave their homes and are residing in the relief camps. The continued land subsidence has affected their livelihood due to which the education of their children is also getting affected. “Our institute is standing firmly with people of disaster affected Joshimath. We will ensure that the higher education of children of these families in Joshimath is not affected.’’
It is pertinent to mention here that the CIMS- UHIMT is providing free education to 300 students who were orphaned during the pandemic of Covid-19.
