Nine new patients found in Almora district
The State Health department reported 11 new cases of the Covid-19 on Tuesday. The department had reported one case of the disease on January 31 and after that no case of the disease was being reported. In fact very few cases of the disease were being reported from the last three months and it is for the first time in almost two months that cases in double digit were recorded from the State. The authorities reported as many as nine cases of the disease from Almora district only on Tuesday. What is interesting to note and a warning for the authorities is that these cases were reported after testing only 15 swabs in the last 24 hours.
The authorities also declared two patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 1,04,674 new cases of the disease from January 1, 2022 till date. A total of 1,00,519 patients have recovered from the disease so far. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 96.03 per cent on Tuesday. A total of 335 patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 last year in the state. Apart from Almora where nine patients were found, the health department reported two new patients from Dehradun.
The State now has 15 active patients of Covid-19. A total of 472 vaccine sessions were held in the State on Tuesday in which 8,096 people were vaccinated.
