In the backdrop of the massive protest by the students and unemployed in Dehradun on Thursday that turned violent, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is fully committed to protect the interests of the youth of the State.
He appealed to the youths to not get provoked by some other elements. Dhami said that his government has acted promptly on all the scams that have come to the fore. He said that it is unlike in the past when the recruitment scams were hidden. The CM said that the State government has sent all the culprits of the recruitment scams and paper leak cases to jail. He added that the Uttarakhand government was the first one to decide that a stringent anti-copying act would be brought to prevent cheating in the examinations and other malpractices in the process of recruitment. The CM said that such arrangements are being made to ensure that all future examinations in the State are transparent and free from cheating. “We will not allow injustice of any kind with the youth of the State,’’ he said.
Dhami said that his government is taking decisions which are in the interests of the youth. “We have ensured that the women of the state get the benefit of reservation in government jobs. Interests of everyone will be protected. The youth should not get swayed by others,’’ he said.
