The process of dismantling hotels Malari Inn and Mount View in subsidence affected Joshimath is in the final stage. The question being raised now is what will be done with the buildings behind these two structures because the homes behind the two hotels have developed large cracks and the columns and beams have also broken, making these homes unfit for living in.
The residents of the damaged homes behind the two hotels had shifted to secure locations in the past. The locals are now wondering whether these buildings will also be dismantled as these homes are cracked and also leaning.
