Dhami hands over appointment letters to newly recruited teachers

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that a deliberate attempt is being made to deviate the youth by creating new narratives daily under which falsehood is being spread by using half baked things. He reiterated the commitment of his government to safeguard the interests of the youngsters and assured that no culprit would be spared in the paper leak cases. Dhami added that a stringent anti-copying law has been implemented in the State to prevent scams in the recruitment examinations. In a swipe at his detractors, the CM said that people who don’t know the difference between job and employment are giving sermons these days.

Dhami was addressing a programme organised at his residence on Monday in which appointment letters were handed over to newly appointed Licentiate Teachers (LT) in the school education department. The department has recently recruited 1431 LTs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the programme virtually.

Congratulating the newly appointed teachers, the CM said that the future of the nation is built in the schools and a good teacher shapes the future of the students.

Announcing the Mukhyamantri Utthan Yojana (MUY) and Gyankosh Yojana (GY), the CM said that the students would be given free coaching for competitive examinations such as IAS, IPS, PCS, NDA and CDS under the MUY. The scheme would prove beneficial for the poor students. Apart from free coaching the students would be given study material, question banks and provided online study material and classes. Under the GY, the State government would set up rich libraries in the hostels and residential schools of the education department. The youngsters preparing for the competitive examinations would be able to make use of these libraries. The government would associate professionals and experienced teachers with these libraries. The CM said that the State government is making efforts to fill all the vacant posts in the government departments and for this the additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi is holding reviews every 15 days.

Speaking on the occasion, the Education and Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that one thousand schools in the State are being made model cluster schools. These schools would be made by clubbing the primary, junior and intermediate schools located in a radius of three kilometres. He said that this concept would help in removing the problem of shortage of teachers and make the schools equipped with modern equipment. He added that 270 schools in the State have been selected for the PM Shree scheme under which the union government would provide a budget of Rs 1.5 crore to 2 crore for infrastructure development of the schools.

The ACS Radha Raturi, director general of school education Banshidhar Tiwari, director of secondary education Seema Jaunsari and others were present on the occasion.
