The commissioner of Kumaon Deepak Rawat on Saturday reviewed the current beautification work going on in Nainital town with the Mandi samiti which is executing the work. Rawat said that the beautification drive in the Kumaoni style would bring more tourists to this region. Stressing on the importance of the beautification work, he said that if tourism gains more pace it would bring more economic prosperity in the lives of the common people.
A senior functionary of the Mandi samiti Vijay Kumar said that around 60 percent of the beautification work of Nainital town had been completed and the rest would be done in two months. He further said that the work is in progress in Nainital bus stand and Ramlila ground and it would be completed in the stipulated time.
