Haridwar Senior Superintendent of Police Ajai Singh has transferred as many as 308 police personnel who have been working in police stations and police posts for more than three years. Among them were head constables and constables. Defending the transfer, SSP said that it was an imperative step to bring more efficiency in the district police system. Observers said that it was a long overdue step in the district.
