Govt committed to protecting Sanatan Dharma & culture: Maharaj

The State government is committed to the protection of Sanatan Dharma and culture. The officials who do commendable work for this through good governance will be felicitated, said the State’s Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj. He was speaking at the all-India Jyotish conference organised by Sanskrit Academy, Uttarakhand here on Monday.
He also appreciated the academy’s assistant director’s proposal to link Sanskrit schools and colleges with the Char Dham Yatra in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts. The minister said that commendable work also generates enthusiasm among others. About 70 scholars were presented certificates for presentation of research papers on various subjects. The academy’s secretary SP Khali, assistant director Chandi Prasad Ghidliyal and a large number of persons associated with Sanskrit, astrology and education were also present on the occasion.
