The rationing system may be disrupted in the coming days and the beneficiaries of free ration facility may be affected. In a stern warning to the state government, the ration dealers said that the state government must fulfill their long-standing demands or else they would stage a movement for which the state government will be solely responsible. They said that if their dues are not given to them they will stop distributing ration from May. They further said that they are grappling with financial crisis with their parts of profit eluding them. Earlier, the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Federation had held a meeting and discussed the problems being faced by the ration dealers. The national president of the federation Ramesh Chandra Pandey had said that the ration dealers had not been receiving their parts of profit under National Food Security Mission since January. He had further said that they had met the state food minister Rekha Arya and the minister had assured to clear their dues by February 15. But things have not happened the way she said, he had added.
