A team of employees of the UJVN Limited has successfully accomplished an expedition to the Kedarkanth peak located in the Uttarkashi district. The team consisted of Vimal Dabral, BG Thapliyal, DS Negi, Lavish Saini, Sohan Lal Sharma, Jaiveer Tadiyal, Prashant Bisht, Sushil Negi and Himanshu Tiwari.
Congratulating the team for its success, the managing director of the corporation Sandeep Singhal said that employees would become physically and mentally strong from it and the success would enhance their efficiency. He said that employees of every age group were included in the team so that their success becomes a source of inspiration for others.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the corporation Vimal Dabral who was in the team said Kedarkantha peak situated at an altitude of 12,500 feet is one of the favourite destinations for adventure sports enthusiasts coming to Uttarakhand. “The last four kilometres of the climb after Kedarkantha base camp is thrilling as well as tough and challenging. This route is steep and completely covered with snow. This was the first such attempt by the corporation’s team which was successful. The objective of the team was to spread awareness among the personnel as well as the general public about the natural and tourist places of the state and also to encourage them to participate in sports and adventure activities,’’ he said.
