Says Congress united and leaders are exposing anti-democratic face of Govt
The observer of Congress high command, PL Punia returned back to Delhi on Monday after a three-day long fire fighting mission in Uttarakhand Congress. During his visit he held interaction with a large number of leaders of the party. On Monday Punia met the heads of frontal organisations, cells and departments of the State Congress. He also interacted with the spokespersons of the party. On Sunday Punia held one to one interactions with the MLAs, former MLAs and the candidates of the party in the last year’s assembly elections.
Presenting a good picture of the party which is suffering from internal squabbles in the State, Punia said the party is united and all leaders and workers are engaged in taking the programmes of the party to the people of the State. He added that the Congress leaders are exposing the dictatorial and anti democratic face of the government. Exhorting the party workers to get ready for the upcoming municipal and parliamentary elections, Punia said it will help in ensuring victory at every level. Launching an attack on the Modi government, he said that the policy of the government is to harass those who are raising issues of public interest. The use of ED and CBI is being done to intimidate opponents and all this is maligning the image of democracy.
The in charge of the State Congress Devendra Yadav said that the Congress workers should contest the exploitation of the government. He said that the Congress party is fighting from the house to the roads to save the democracy in the country. Yadav said that the reins of the country are in the hands of those who supported the British when the freedom struggle was going on.
The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Karan Mahara said that the former governor of Jammu and Kashmir has made some disclosures regarding the Pulwama attack. Would the people get answers to these questions, he asked. He expressed gratitude to the observer of the party PL Punia for hearing and understanding the feelings of the Congressmen.
