Covid cases continue to rise in U’khand

After a lull of a few days which saw comparatively few cases of Covid-19, the State Health department reported 135 new cases of the Covid-19 on Tuesday. The State now has 307 active cases of the disease. The authorities reported 72 new cases of Covid-19 from Dehradun on Tuesday.
The department found 25 new cases of the disease in Nainital, 10 in Rudraprayag, seven in Uttarkashi, four each in Champawat and Pauri, three each in Udham Singh Nagar and Pithoragarh, two each in Chamoli and Tehri and one each Almora, Bageshwar and Haridwar districts on the day. The authorities declared 129 patients recovered from the disease on Tuesday.
The department has so far detected 2,218 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year in the State. A total of 1,900 patients have recovered from the disease so far. A total of 11 patients have lost their lives from the disease from January 1 this year in the state. The State now has 307 active patients of Covid-19 with Dehradun and Nainital leading the table with 66 active cases of the disease each followed by Haridwar which has 31 active cases of the disease.
