Cashless cancer treatment for ECHS beneficiaries starts at SMI hospital

Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has claimed to have started cashless cancer treatment for Ex- Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) beneficiaries. The hospital administration informed that cashless cancer treatment is already being given to Ayushman card holders and State Government Health Scheme (SGHS) beneficiaries.

The chairman of the Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Mahant Devendra Dass has asked the cancer department team to do its best to provide relief to those suffering from cancer.             

The head of department of cancer in the hospital, Dr Pankaj Kumar Garg said that the deadly disease has been spreading fast in Uttarakhand. He said that since cancer treatment is considerably costly and long, many patients are unable to bear this expenditure. “This cashless treatment will bring down the burden of the cancer patients and their families, empowering the patients to get treated and regain good health,” he said.
