Special screening of 100th Mann Ki Baat held in Raj Bhawan

A special screening of the 100th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme was organised at Raj Bhawan on Sunday. Governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh attended the programme as the chief guest organised by the various media wings of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The governor also inaugurated an exhibition on subjects like Mann Ki Baat and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which was organised by the Central Bureau of Communications, Dehradun.
Congratulating all the citizens on the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Modi said that the programme has become a unique festival of goodness and positivity of the countrymen- a festival that comes every month, for which all wait.
Addressing the gathering, the governor said that the 100th edition of Mann Ki Baat programme by the PM is a historic moment, of which all have become witnesses. He said that through this programme those who are selflessly engaged in social work have been made the voice of the people. He said that it is a programme with a spiritual connect, which connects people to people. Singh said that every edition of Mann Ki Baat has been special in itself, each time the innovations and new examples connect people from all corners of the country and from all age groups. He further said that all the people of Uttarakhand mentioned in Mann Ki Baat are heroes, icons and brand ambassadors. They will serve as an inspiration to others.
People from Uttarakhand mentioned in episodes of Mann Ki Baat including Puran Rathore, Poonam Nautiyal, Manoj Benjwal, Champa Devi, Sachchidanand Bharti, Santosh Negi, Gayatri and Surendra Bagwadi along with Padma Shri recipients Pritam Bharatwan, Dr BKS Sanjay, Prem Chand Sharma, Basanti Bisht, Madhuri Barthwal, officials and persons from various fields were also present during the programme.
