Horticulture Dept hands over pickups & motorcycles to ETF

The Horticulture Department handed over two Bolero pickups and 10 motorcycles to 127 Eco Task Force on Thursday. On the occasion of 127 Eco Task Force 40th raising day last year Soldier Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi had committed that he will make an endeavour to provide light pickups for carrying out plantation work in Garhwal Himalayas. He arranged for the vehicles through Hero MotoCorps CSR initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the Eco Task Force and reiterated the State government’s commitment to protect the environment. He announced provision of Rs four lakh each year to cater fuel, oil and lubricant for utilisation of the two pickups and 10 motorcycles, provision of six large poly houses for 127 Eco Task Force, two JCBs for 120 days through PWD for construction of small/big ponds to store rainwater in project location and soil conservation activities and other measures.Cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi and 127 Eco Task Force commanding officer colonel Rohit Srivastav also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
