Domicile, income certificates of Class XI , XII students to be made in schools

In a decision which will benefit thousands of the students, the Uttarakhand government has decided to provide the domicile, income and other certificates required in the competitive examinations to all the students of class XI and XII.
On the directive of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State administration has undertaken the ‘Apano School Apano Praman’ initiative under which the certificates will be provided to class XI and XII students. In an order, the secretary Shailesh Bagauli has directed that a committee headed by district magistrate should be constituted at the district level. This committee would include the Chief Education Officer (CEO) and it would monitor and take weekly updates of the programme. A committee at Tehsil level headed by the sub divisional magistrate and would include the block education officer (BEO) concerned. This committee would prepare a roster of teams which would visit the schools. These teams would have Patwari, Lekhpal and data entry operators of Common Service Centres (CSCs). A work plan for the disbursal of domicile, character, income and other certificates would be prepared under which the certificates would be provided within a fixed time frame.
The information about necessary documents for these certificates would be provided to the Principals, students, parents and local public representatives. The programme would be monitored and reviewed on a day to day basis at Tehsil level. As per the plan the certificates would be provided to the principals of the schools concerned within a week of receipt of fee and necessary documents.
