Respite from rain-State to witness dry conditions today

Some parts of the State received light rain on Tuesday though the weather is expected to clear across the State on Wednesday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the State’s districts on Wednesday. The temperatures have also started to rise moderately in various parts of the State in the past couple of days.

The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively today. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 33.8 degree Celsius and 19.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.8 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.1 degrees Celsius and 8.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21 degrees Celsius and 9.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. Very light to light rain was reported in various parts of the State on Tuesday with 12.5 millimetres in Salt, 8.5 millimetres in Kalsi, six millimetres in Chamba, 0.2 millimetres in Dehradun and 0.8 millimetres in Mukteshwar.
