The State government has appointed brigadier (retd) JNS Bisht to the position of managing director of Uttarakhand Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPNL). His appointment is for a period of three years or his attaining age of 65 years whichever is earlier.
The post of UPNL MD has been lying vacant ever since brigadier (retd) PPS Pahwa stepped down in April last year.
