As per the decision of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government, over 40,000 students who have failed in the 10th and 12th examinations of Uttarakhand Board can get three chances to pass. Last year over 48,000 students had failed in the board examination out of whom 19,000 students appeared in the 12th while 28,000 students appeared in the 10th examinations. This aside, the pass students will also be given an opportunity to improve their marks. According to the officials of education department, the first opportunity to pass will be given to the failed students just after the declaration of the examination results. These students can appear in this exam as the marks improvement exam will be held.
In case the students do not pass yet they will be given second chance in the exams of 2024-25. They will be given two options-the first one is to take the exam of only the failed subjects and the second one is to take the exam of all the subjects. If the students still fail they will be given the third and the last chance to appear in the marks improvement exam of 2024-25.
