Adi Kailash pilgrimage stalled again due to debris having blocked road

In latest Uttarakhand news, after remaining open for four days, the Tawaghat-Lipulekh motor road has again been closed due to debris crashing down from hills. Consequently, the pilgrims for Adi Kailash have got stuck midway. It is learnt that the number of trapped persons-both pilgrims and locals- is about 150. Those pilgrims who were going through Dharchula reached Narayan Ashram. It is learnt that seven mountainous villages, including Pangla, Mangti and Ghatiabgarh, have been cut off from the mainland due to the Tawaghat-Lipulekh motor road remaining blocked.
