At the initiative of the State Health and Family Welfare department, two health ATMs installed at the Government Hospital in Rishikesh, has started operating. It is learnt that 80 blood-related tests can be done through the patient’s one drop of blood by this medical device. The chief medical officer Government Hospital Rishikesh Dr P K Chandola said that not just 80 examinations can be done through the patient’s one drop of blood but the report is readied immediately. “The Health ATMs are equipped with state of the art medical technologies,” he said. He further said that the people embarking on the pilgrimage to Char Dhams are thronging the hospital to have their health check-ups done. “We have technicians at the hospital to operate it,” he added.
