The process of appointments on 955 posts of Block Resource Person (BRP) and Cluster Resource Person (CRP) would start soon. The appointments on these posts would be made by an outsourcing agency and a monthly remuneration of Rs 40,000 would be given to them. The State cabinet in its recent meeting had given its nod for these appointments.
After this clearance the State administration has directed the education department to start the recruitment drive. The director general education Bansidhar Tiwari said that 255 posts of BRP and 670 posts of CRP would be filled in the drive. The appointments would be for the period of the project and would be contractual in nature. Tiwari said that strict norms of eligibility have been set for both BRP and CRP. The appointed candidates would help the teachers of primary and secondary level
The BRP and CRP are the basic positions of the education department who are assigned the tasks of providing education and other support to teachers apart from monitoring their activities.
It is pertinent to mention that the process of appointment of BRP and CRP is pending from a long period. Earlier the teachers of the department were sent on deputation on these posts but now the government has decided to create a separate and specialised cadre for these positions.
