In latest Uttarakhand news, in a major bureaucratic re-jig, a large number of IAS and PCS officers have been transferred. The State additional secretary Personnel Karmendra Singh issued the transfer order. Among the two important changes effected in the reshuffle are Manisha Pawar, the chairperson of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, being relieved from the post with her other responsibilities remaining intact and IAS Uday Raj Singh being appointed as the district magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar. He is succeeding Yugol Kishore Pant who has been entrusted with the responsibility of additional secretary Tourism and additional chief executive officer of Tourism Development Council. It is learnt that 36 IAS/PCS officers-22 IAS and 14 PCS officers- have come under this administrative rejig move.
The charge of principal secretary, social welfare and minority commission has been withdrawn from L Fenai and he has been entrusted with the charge of chairman of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation. On her return from study leave, Radhika Jha has been given the charge of social welfare department while secretary Hari Chand Semwal has been relieved from the charge of director ICDS and made the director general of the department of culture. Chandresh Kumar Yadav has been made the project director of Uttarakhand Urban Development Agency. The charge of NHM has been withdrawn from R Rajesh Kumar and has been given the charge of chief executive officer, PMGS. He will retain his other responsibilities. The charge of cultural department has been withdrawn from Ranveer Singh Chauhan and has been made additional secretary, Peyjal Nigam and project director Namami Gange. The charge of the vice chairman of Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority has been taken away from the Haridwar district magistrate Dhiraj Garbyal. IAS Ranjana has been relieved of the post of director Peyjal Nigam. The additional secretary personnel Karmendra Singh has been given the additional charge as the director of Swajal. The additional secretary Anand Srivastav has been entrusted with the charge of managing director of Uttarakhand State Transport Corporation. Additional secretary Rohit Meena has been given the charge of the mission director NHM.
