In latest Uttarakhand news, with thousands of devotees thronging Haridwar to collect holy water from Ganga as the Kanwad Yatra is on, Water Police team rescued four persons trapped in an island formed temporarily in the middle of Ganga due to consistent rain behind the parking lot. It is learnt that the four people reached the island while taking bath in Ganga. As the current of the river suddenly increased, they got stuck there. As they were screaming for help the people who saw them informed the police control room. On receiving the information, a team of water police personnel with divers reached the site and rescued the stranded four.
