Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital here has introduced advanced laparoscopic urological procedures in the State-run facility to improve the patients’ treatment and their speedy recovery. The GDMC officials said that this advanced procedure endowed with state of the art technology has been introduced to fulfil the hospital’s commitment to providing the best treatment to the patients.
The addition of advanced laparoscopic urological procedures at GDMC opens up new avenues for patients seeking treatment for kidney diseases and other urological ailments, said the doctors working in the medical college and added that this innovative approach would help in more accurate diagnosis, reduced postoperative complications, faster recovery and high standards of surgical excellence. “So far six successful Laparoscopic Advanced Urological procedures have been performed and around 10-15 cases are in the pipeline for surgeries,” said a GDMC doctor.
The urology team of GDMC has undergone rigorous training to develop the skills required to perform laparoscopic urological surgeries.
