In latest Uttarakhand news, in an important verdict, the Nainital High Court ordered removal of the vice chancellor of the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University Sunil Kumar Joshi from the post. The division bench of the court comprising the Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rakesh Thaplyal said that the VC had been appointed flouting the appointment rules. The hearing of this case was completed on June 15 and the division bench reserved its judgment. Notably, the case was based on the petition filed by a Haridwar resident Vinod Kumar Chauhan. He challenged the appointment of the VC citing that he lacked the required qualification for being appointed for the post of VC.
