Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UJVNL) organised a one-day workshop on the subject ‘Finance for Non-Finance People’ at UJVNL’s headquarters Ujjwal in Dehradun on Wednesday. Speaking at the workshop, the managing director, UJVNL Sandeep Singhal said that in course of the workshop, UJVNL’s employees from non-financial background were given information about the financial system generally used in their workplace. He further said that the purpose of organising this workshop was to enhance the conceptual knowledge of engineers and other employees regarding financial processing and functioning. “The knowledge gained in this workshop will certainly help the officers of non-finance cadre of the Nigam to take appropriate decisions in project construction and operations activities like estimation, budgeting, planning and the like,” he added.
Among those who participated in the workshop included the deputy general manager Babita Kohli and a number of executive engineers of the Nigam. Notably, the previous workshop was conducted in Dhakrani on the same line.
