Rudra and Shrishti won the Slum Hero prize in a talent competition organised on the weekend by Dehradun UH Foundation. The finale of Slum Hero Season 3 witnessed singing and dancing performances by the participants. The winners were presented cash prizes ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,000 each by the foundation. Inaugurating the event, Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ appreciated such efforts.
Rudra secured first position in the dance competition followed by Arohi and Priya in the second and third positions respectively. They also won a ticket to work in the TV series “Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya” aired on Zee Channel. In the singing competition, Shrishti secured the first position followed by Payal and Simran in the second and third positions respectively. The NGO founder Vasundhra Rana said that the main objective of the event was to provide a platform for children from underprivileged backgrounds, orphanages, economically weaker sections and remote areas.
