The Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary BL Santhosh advised the party workers to ignore the opposition’s negativity and propaganda while moving forward with positivity. He said that the opposition is adopting negative and low level tactics to target the BJP.
Santhosh said this while chairing a meeting of the party’s media, social media, IT cell and other cells on the concluding day of his two-day tour here on Monday. Referring to opposition parties, he said that their level of media and other mediums had fallen. The BJP has to tackle the opposition but also maintain its ideological and cultural standard. “We have to compete- their presentation against our work, but we have to maintain our quality. We have fabulous achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our governments are doing good work so we only need a positive perspective,” he said.
Addressing the media after the meeting, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that the deliberation in the meeting was based on the aim of a Congress-Mukt Uttarakhand. The programmes of all the party’s cells and fronts will be focused on this aim. The social media cell of the party will soon hold workshops at the district and Mandal levels. Further, various programmes of the youth, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward class cells of the party will be held in the coming days to strengthen the connection of the party in sections of society where it is lacking.
Similarly, the Mahila Morcha will connect beneficiaries of government schemes with the party to enhance the public support for BJP. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the party will ensure enhanced public participation in the nation-wide Mera Desh Meri Mati campaign. The soil from the courtyards of the homes of martyrs in all blocks of the State will be collected as part of this campaign. Similarly, inscriptions of martyrs will be placed near all Amrit Sarovars, village ponds and places where people congregate, said Bhatt.
