In latest Uttarakhand news, as per the weather forecast issued by the Dehradun-based regional meteorological centre, there would be no letup in rain activities in the State. Heavy downpour may lash six districts of the State- Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat. While the Met department has issued red alert signal for these districts yellow alert has been issued for other parts of the State. Additionally, several areas of Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar may experience thundershower.
As the rain activities have been wreaking havoc across Uttarakhand for a considerably long time, resulting in landslides and widespread loss of life and property, the Met department warned that the levels of the rivers and rivulets in the State might see further rise with today’s expected widespread rain.
