CM directs administration to remain alert

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami convened a meeting of senior officers of the State administration at his residence on Monday and reviewed the situation of disaster triggered by heavy rains in different parts of the State. The CM directed the administration to remain alert. He also took feedback of the relief and rescue operations in the affected areas from the officers. Dhami said that in view of heavy rains the State government has decided to suspend the Char Dham Yatra for two days. He appealed that the pilgrims should undertake the Yatra to the State after going through the weather forecast.

The CM expressed grief at death of people in Pauri district. He said that the teams of district administration and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are engaged in relief and rescue operations. He directed the district administration to ensure that the injured should be provided with proper treatment in the hospitals. The CM ordered that the officers should ensure that the disaster affected people receive compensation as per the norms. He directed that the loss caused by the rain triggered disaster should be assessed.

 The CM is also in constant contact with the district magistrates and is taking feedback on the damage caused by the heavy rains. He has asked the DMs to keep the administration and the teams involved in relief and rescue operations in an alert mode.

 The additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, special principal secretary Abhinav Kumar, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagauli, Ranjit Sinha, additional director general of police A P Anshuman, director general of information Banshidhar Tiwari and others attended the meeting.
