In view of increasing the employment opportunities among women, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the Mukhyamantri Sashakt Behana Utsav Yojana (MSBUY) to encourage and support the women groups in the State. This scheme will allow women groups to effectively sell their manufactured products in the market.
The CM approved this scheme recognising the challenges faced by women groups in selling their products due to the lack of suitable markets. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure that the products of women groups reach a larger market through its implementation. This will be achieved by organising exhibitions of locally manufactured products by women groups in public places in each development block to provide ample marketing opportunities. Providing a market at the block level for the products of women’s groups will give them an opportunity to effectively showcase and promote their products. The Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) department will undertake the responsibility of managing and overseeing the implementation of MSBUY.
