As the two- day world leaders’ summit is going on in Delhi, the special focus stall showcasing the handloom and handicraft products of Uttarakhand is catching the fancy of the people from across the world visiting the G-20 Craft Market in Pragati Maidan. Among the State’s products on display at the stall include woolen scarves, dunda shawls, woolen carpets, grass products, copper products, natural fibre jackets and wooden replicas of the revered shrines like Kedarnath. The State’s nodal officer and deputy director of the department of industries M S Sajwan said that the special focus stall displaying the unique Uttarakhand handicraft and handloom products has been set up by his department in Pragati Maidan. It is learnt that the secretary of the Union ministry of commerce visited the stall and sought information about the State’s products on display. He particularly appreciated the uniqueness of the grass jacket.
