Haldi-based Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology’s scientist Sumit Purohit has been recently bestowed with the ‘Fellow Award-2024’ by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology in recognition of his contribution in plant research. The council’s office bearers said that senior scientists, experts and researchers who came from across the country were informed about the research work being done on soil-less farming and on kiwi and other plants through plant tissue culture method at the institute.
