In latest Uttarakhand news, a jawan of the Indian Army Khilaf Singh Negi, who hailed from remote Kanol village in Chamoli district, breathed his last at a hospital in Lucknow. He was 21. He joined the army in 2021. It is learnt from his family members that he was being treated by doctors of a Lucknow-based hospital for the past one month and his condition deteriorated suddenly followed by his untimely death. Preparations are on for his cremation in his ancestral village where the people are in a deep state of shock.
