Women’s Reservation Bill a major step towards women empowerment: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the Narishakti Vandan Vidheyak (Women’s Reservation Bill)-2023 is a  major step in the direction of ensuring women empowerment in the country. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for passage of the bill facilitating 33 per cent reservation to the women in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies in the both houses of the parliament. He said that the State government has undertaken many measures in the field of women empowerment and 30 per cent horizontal reservation is being provided to the women of the State in the government jobs.

The Kedarnath MLA Shailarani Rawat met CM Dhami at his camp office on Friday. In the meeting she expressed gratitude to PM Modi for the passage of the women reservation bill in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. She said that consistent efforts are being made by the union and state governments under the leadership of PM Modi and CM Dhami for achieving the goal of women empowerment. Rawat added that works are being undertaken to showcase the talent and skills of the women.
