Security being spruced up for PM’s Pithoragarh visit

In latest news from Dehradun, security is being stepped up for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pithoragarh visit on October 12. The district administration officers informed that 1200 police personnel have been deployed in the sports stadium where the PM is scheduled to address a public meeting. They added that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is reaching Pithoragarh to take stock of the PM’s security. Sharing more details, the district magistrate Reena Joshi said that in view of the PM’s scheduled visits of Jolingkong and Pithoragarh towns, they have made fool-proof security arrangements. Besides, works on erecting tents, pandal and barricading at the venue of Modi’s public meeting are underway, she said, adding that along with revamping traffic system, Jolingkong and Pithoragarh towns are being beautified.
The SP Lokeshwar Singh informed that his department is taking no chance in sprucing up security of the PM’s ensuing visit. He added that the State plane which the PM will board in Dehradun will land him in Naini Saini airport at around 11.45 am.
